This deck railing hardware fit 1/8" OD cable of railing system. The thread screws are designed for timber/wood post. It will rotate the wire rope in the same direction, which resolves the problem of twisting the attached wire. Products without Left & right will bring you hassle and might damage the cable.
Length of cable should be 1-1/2" shorter than wood surface distance; if you want to DIY a high quality cable railing system, standard 1/8" (OD) cable which was made of T316-stainless steel is recommended.
By the design of Right&left handed thread, of course it can be used to adjust the tension of attached cable, so the turnbuckles are not needed in the railing system. And this cable railing won’t be easily unfixed or destroyeded.
The lag screws could be drilled into wood to adjust the tightness without extra turnbuckle or tensioner. Deck and Stair Cable railing system is not only simple but also won't block your view. Hydraulic crimper is needed to connect the cable to lag screws.

Installation Tips:
- Cable Length could range from1-1/8"（tight） to 1-1/2"（tightest） shorter than wood distance.
- Recommended the maximum distance between two end posts is 16 Ft.
- Recommended that the post spacing between two posts is 4ft.
- Recommended that the spacing between the upper and lower screw holes is 4".

Easy to install--deck cable railing system

Step 1Drill holes, then screws half threads of the Left & right lag screws into the holes to wood posts which have been drilled. Note, leave half threads outside of the post. |
Step 2Insert the measured wire rope, then swage the cable to the screws with the crimping tool. To make it more stable, it is recommended to swage each screw twice. |
Step 3Use our specially Wrench, turn the right lag screws into the right post in the same direction at the same time. This way is to avoid cable twisted. |

Must have:
1) 1/8 Stainless Steel Cable, search it : B07YY46T7M, or Model number DW40, we have different length from 110ft to 1000ft.
2) Hydraulic crimper: B08BQVKM2Z, or Model number DC01
In the above picture, it is a level cable railing with stair angle cable railing, we use black swage lag screws, level protecor sleeves, search: B09F6B7SGZ or Model number DP10; and angle 30 degree protector sleeves, search B08L3H69R6 or Model number DT05.
We can also use just swage lag screws only to complete this cable railing systm without the sleeves.
This swage lag screws system is not only inexpensive, but also it is simple with elegant look, and won’t be easily unfixed or destroyed....
