Protect posts and maintain cable tension. This stainless steel protective sleeve is designed to prevent damage to the relatively soft wood posts from friction wear. It can maintain the cable tension to prevent vibration. Important Note, this level cable railing hardware can only be used in intermediate wood posts, not suitable for metal or angle posts.
Size: inner diameter: 5/32 inch; total length: 13/16 inch; Drill Bit Diameter: 6.5MM. These T316 protector sleeves fit for 1/8" cable railing system. Calculation of sleeves quantity needed: 2 × QTY of intermediate posts × QTY of cable runs.

Step 1

 

  1. Measure and mark holes
  2. Drill holes on the mark, a wood drill bit is included in the package.

 

Step 2

Put the straight protectors into the wood post, pass the 1/8" cable wire through. It is very easy and smooth. The steel protective sleeves will cover the rough holes, make it beautiful, also protect the wood.

Finish

After a simple installation, the level wood post protector brings a nice elegant look to your cable railing system. It never blocks your view when you rest on the deck.

  • Swage lag screw DM30 (terminal fitting)
  • 1/8" cable with cutter DW22
  • Hydraulic Crimper DC01----to swage the cable to tube
  • Level protector sleeve DE05 ---install in the middle posts
  • Angle protector sleeve DT05--install in the middle posts ( angle stair balustrade required)
  • Drill jig DG12, help drilling the correct angle, speed up the job

 

Glass railings and traditional fences require a lot of time to wipe to maintain clean appearance.

In contrast, the cable railing system requires nearly no maintenance.
