It is suitable to DIY your stair railings, porch railing, terrace railings, and deck railings, both horizontal /vertical and angle applications. With our specially made wrench, installation becomes much easier.
●This stainless steel cable railing kit fits 1/8" cable railing system. The black swage lag screws are designed for wood posts. It will rotate the wire rope in the same direction, which resolves the problem of twisting or damaging the attached wire. This design can make the wire railing kit for decks last longer. And this cable railing won’t be easily unfixed or destroyed.
●Length of cable should be 1-1/2" shorter than wood surface distance（as shown in pic.4); if you want to build a high-quality cable wire railing, standard 1/8"(OD) cable which was made of T316-stainless steel is recommended. Maximum distance between the 2 end posts should be within 16Ft, post space less than 4ft, cable spacing less than 4inch.
●The lag screws could be drilled into wood to adjust the tightness without an extra turnbuckle or tensioner. Cable deck railing system is not only simple but also won't block your view. A hydraulic crimper (Search “B08BQVKM2Z” or Model number “DC01” on Amazon) is needed to connect the cable to the thread screws.

Installation Tips:

 

  • Cable Length could range from1-1/8"（tight） to 1-1/2"（tightest） shorter than wood distance.
  • Recommended the maximum distance between two end posts is 16 Ft.
  • Recommended that the post spacing between two posts is 4ft.
  • Recommended that the spacing between the upper and lower screw holes is 4".

Step 1

Drill holes, then screws half threads of the Left & right lag screws into the holes to wood posts which have been drilled. Note, leave half threads outside of the post.

Step 2

Insert the measured wire rope, then swage the cable to the screws with the crimping tool. To make it more stable, it is recommended to swage each screw twice.

Step 3

Use our specially Wrench, turn the right lag screws into the right post in the same direction at the same time. This way is to avoid cable twisted.

1) 1/8 Stainless Steel Cable, search it : B07YY46T7M, or Model number DW40, we have different length from 110ft to 1000ft.

2) Hydraulic crimper: B08BQVKM2Z, or Model number DC01

In the above picture, it is a level cable railing with stair angle cable railing, we use black swage lag screws, level protecor sleeves, search: B09F6B7SGZ or Model number DP10; and angle 30 degree protector sleeves, search B08L3H69R6 or Model number DT05.

We can also use just swage lag screws only to complete this cable railing systm without the sleeves.

This swage lag screws system is not only inexpensive, but also it is simple with elegant look, and won’t be easily unfixed or destroyed....
