General installation steps

1. Divide the height of post into equal length for each run, run spacing 3" each, mark with a pencil.

2. Drill holes.

-- In post A, drill holes to install the terminal (short one).

Drill through post with a drill bit, diameter 1/4" (6.5mm).

-- In post B, drill holes to install the tensioner ( the long one).

For post size 2×2", drill through with 25/64" (10mm) drill bit. If the diameter of the wooden post is between 2 and 4", first drill through the post using a 1/4" (6.5mm) drill bit for the swage thread fit. Then, from the opposite side, drill a 2" deep hole using a 25/64 inch (10mm) drill bit. You can make a mark at 2" on the the 25/64" drill bit, which is the length of the tensioner's large pipe.

3. Measure and cut steel wire cables. The length of the wire rope should be 2-3/8 inches shorter than the distance between the posts, measured from the outside.

4. Crimp the terminal with cable, using hydraulic crimper DC01. Normally, each screw: 2 crimping positions, 3 to 4 times swaging per position, and then insert the terminal through the post A. The same way to swage the cable with the thread fitting in Post B. Insert the threaded end into the post, connect the two parts inside the wooden post. Gripping the threaded end with one hand, tighten with our allen wrench in the other hand.

Finally, secure the cable with our tool, and tighten the tensioner with the allen wrench.

Congratulations! It is done!

Note that for a 4x4 inch post, you can use protectors on the inner side for a better appearance and added protection. It is also acceptable to use it without sleeves.
